The AcuLaser C8600PS fully supports Adobe® PostScript® 3™, making it the ideal solution for graphic arts users requiring the best results on paper up to A3W with crop marks. A wide range of media formats are supported, including plain paper, glossy media and card up to 250gsm thick, while input capacity is expandable up to 1,400 sheets via two optional 500 sheet cassettes, and double sided printing is available via an optional duplex unit.

EPSON AcuLaser Colour ASIC

EPSON AcuLaser Fine Dot Control technology
Boosting the printer’s original 600dpi resolution to an effective 2400dpi by accurately controlling the size and position of each dot on the page. Combined with colour dot placement algorithms developed for EPSON’s award winning colour inkjet technology, enables unrivalled print quality in graduated fills and photographs.

EPSON AcuLaser Adaptive Data Compression
EPSON AcuLaser Data Compression has been developed to eliminate the bottlenecks in processing colour documents caused by compressing and decompressing data. It works by adapting different compression algorithms depending on the type of object on the page to be printed e.g. text, images, line drawings etc. This has resulted in an improvement in total throughput time.

EPSON AcuLaser Colour-RITech
EPSON Colour Resolution Improvement Technology is a development of EPSON’s own mono RIT – for smooth presentation of colour text characters and curved lines. It eliminates dotted or jagged edges in colour text, and ensures that even finely detailed areas are reproduced sharply, making charts, graphs and detailed CAD and schematics come alive with clear, crisp tones.

EPSON AcuLaser Intelligent Line Screening technology
Developed from EPSON’s inkjet printers, this technology automatically distinguishes between photographic images, text and line drawings all on one page and alters the Line Screening and Colour Correction on that particular area of the page.

High Speed Network printing
The AcuLaser C8600 is network-ready, with a standard 10/100 BaseTX network interface, full support for standard protocols including TCP/IP, IPX, http, SNMP and NetBEUI, and a range of network tools which ensure optimum simplicity and performance: EPSON Net WebManager: This sophisticated but straightforward Web tool is designed to help administrators manage the printer via a remote connection. EPSON Net WebAssist: A facility that enables configuration of network printer settings via an Internet navigator.
